What you’ll be doing

This job is suitable for a responsible, skilled individual who can oversee multiple projects to provide supervisory support to Research Associates working on their individual projects and assignments. This position will offer a unique and rewarding translational research experience in a dynamic and highly productive environment. As a Project Manager you will provide responsible assistance for initiation and completion of the project assigned to the Research Associate (s) reporting to you.

A day in your work life might include…

  • Overseeing generating and propagating 3D organoid cultures.
  • Performing/troubleshooting routine research assays such as flow cytometry and qRT-PCR to validate cultures.
  • Analysis and documentation of results related to the project (s).
  • Reporting the progress on the projects under your supervision.
  • Communicating the progress and updates on the project to the CSO and or COO.
  • Contributing to lab maintenance including ordering supplies, general clean up, freezer cataloguing, and maintaining lab equipment.

What we need from you

  • This is a full-time in-person position at the Houston location.
  • Skilled in 3D models of cancers.
  • Skilled in standards cell culture assays like proliferation, apoptosis etc.
  • Experience in Microscopy and qPCR analysis.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical problems in day-to-day operations.
  • Team Leadership and training of research associates.
  • Team participation and co-operation.
  • To be motivated to keep-up with related scientific literature and progress.
  • Commitment to job’s expectations while maintaining work-life balance.
  • Requirement based travel for conferences.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Two years of relevant experience.
  • At least a year of experience in the field of tumoroids.
  • Tissue culture expertise and experience with sterile technique is a must.
  • Technical experience in sterile maintenance and culturing of cells, flow cytometry, microscopy, and RT-qPCR required.
  • Entry and maintenance of lab notes and related documents.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Responsibility and accountability on the project (s) under supervision.
